Cai En Cup (Chai's Cup) is manufactured in accordance with the relevant provisions of ASTM No. D4212-93 "Standard Test Method for Immersed Viscosity Cup" and the actual production. This viscosity cup is used to test the viscosity of Newtonian or similar Newtonian liquids.
Each dipping cup has a 12-inch ring handle that can be held by hand to immerse the cup in a liquid container. There is a finger ring in the center of the handle, which makes it easy to keep the cup in a vertical position during use.
For a particular cup, the results are expressed as "Chain seconds" at a specified temperature. To convert "Chain seconds" to Listok, see ASTM D 4212.

Use method of Chain cup:
1.Before use, the cup body should be wiped clean and dried with appropriate solvent.
2.Choose the appropriate cup size so that the flow time can be controlled between 20 and 80 seconds.
ThreeAdjust the temperature of the filtered sample and the outlet cup to (23 degrees plus or minus 0.5 degrees) or another agreed temperature.
FourStir well and evenly the liquid to be measured, insert your finger into the small ring on the handle, and immerse the viscous cup into the fluid, so that the upper edge of the flow cup is lower than the horizontal surface of the liquid.
Quickly and smoothly lift the cup vertically from the sample to be measured and press the stopwatch at the same time.
FiveWhen the cup body breaks off from the liquid level and starts to time, pay attention to the vertical of the cup body when the liquid flows out, and the distance between the cup body and the liquid level does not exceed 150 mm.
6.When the first breakpoint appears and the stopwatch stops timing, the number of seconds flowing out is the viscosity value of the sample to be measured.
7.To evaluate, three consecutive measurements must be made, and the average of the three measurements shall be taken as the time for the liquid to flow out.
EightThe longer the measurement time is, the higher the liquid viscosity, while the shorter the measurement time is, the lower the liquid viscosity.
9.Before and after use, appropriate solvent should be chosen to wipe clean.Clean with soft paper or cloth. Never clean with a metal brush.
